How to Buy a Mon Chéri Exotic Longhair Kitten or Persian Kitten?
We really want our Exotic Shorthair kittens and Exotic Longhair kittens to be in happy homes. Please fill out our kitten application, so that we have basic information about the home you can offer to our kitten, we know you are a serious customer and not a child, and we can give you safe delivery options. We will also answer any questions you may have… there is a field in the application for you to ask us anything. After your kitten application has been approved and delivery options agreed upon, you will need to pay a $300 deposit to reserve.

Why Exotic Longhair Kittens make the Perfect Pets?
The Exotic Longhair is a medium-to large-sized cat with short, muscular legs, a short back, a cobby, sturdy body and a deep chest. The Exotic Longhair kitten is immediately recognizable by its very extreme flat face with full cheeks, large round eyes, a short muzzle and a short snub-nose, round cheeks, a firm chin, medium-sized ears, and large, round eyes. All of these facial components give the Exotic Longhair kitten a very sweet expression that is almost human-like. Although the coat is longer than that of the Exotic Shorthair, our Mon Chéri Exotic Longhair kittens are bred to have easy-to-care for midi coats that are very soft.
Exotic Longhairs are easy going, relaxed, loving and calm cats that have inherited the quiet demeanor of the Persian. These affectionate cats can demand love and attention by staring at you straight in your eyes and hugging you when you pick them up.
Why are Exotic Longhair Kittens Better than Persian Kittens?
The Exotic Longhair is a product of outcrossing the Persian with American Shorthair cats, a distinct and popular breed, in the 1950s. So, the Exotic Longhair has some American Shorthair personality characteristics in them. The same applies to the Exotic Shorthair. They are both equally affectionate, but the Exotic Longhair tends to be a little more social and active than the Persian.
The Exotic Longhair is less vocal than the Persian. In other words, they make less noise.
One website dedicated to the Persian states that the Exotic Longhair is more comfortable on the ground than the Persian, so the Exotic Longhair is less inclined to climb and rest in high places.
Why do many refer to Exotic Longhair kittens as Persian kittens?
Exotic Longhair and Persians look physically are identical but another difference is that a Persian has a pure Persian bloodline. An Exotic Longhair has both Persian and Exotic Shorthair in their bloodline. One major American cat Association, TICA (The International Cat Association), considers the Exotic Longhair as the same as the Persian and both are registered as Persian. Therefore on our website, as well as many others, a kitten may be listed as a Persian or Exotic Longhair although we want to make sure you understand their is a slight technical difference. Our kittens are Exotic Longhair kittens as their parents are an Exotic Shorthair crossed with a Persian, although we may refer to them as either.
